Formula of Marks to Percentage

Percentage = Obtained Marks / Total Marks × 100
For example, a student secured 36 marks out of 50
Percentage = 36/50 × 100
Percentage = 72%
If you want to calculate percentages of more than 1 subject, before putting values in the formula, add the secured marks and total marks. For example, you want to find the percentage of a student who got 70,82, and 92 marks in three subjects. The total marks of each subject are 100.
Add the secured marks: 70+82+92 = 244
Add the total marks of subjects: 100+100+100 = 300
Percentage = 244/300 × 100
Percentage = 81.33%
So the student got 81.33% marks in the three subjects
